Great Wall of Vagina

Great Wall of Vagina. Vulva Love

Wall of vaginas. Five years, 400 vulva. That makes almost one labia a day!

It’s art with a social conscience or possibly just  headline grabbing, media savvy artsploitation. Think of genitals in a tank of formaldehyde, chainsawn in half and arranged in a 10x6x2 formation – 400 pissflaps dribbling over 200 pissoirs.

Which is not to say that it isn’t worth a visit. After all, where else could you take the time to stand and stare at a sight such as this?

I’ve seen a single section of this before and the casts did carry the pallor of a death mask – the eyes are open but nobody is home.

Actually they aren’t as lifeless as a death mask – they have taken on more the appearance of a labradors cheeks as it puts its head out of a car window on a motorway.  Roger Moore’s face as he gets centrifuged – click the image to see the video.

Great Wall of Vaginas! Go and see them in all of their slightly wobbly, yet still imposing  glory this May details here

Sounds like fun, can I volunteer to take part?

  2.   Selina Volufiline says:

I am sure there will be a great deal of controversy over something like that. As a woman I am not totally sure what to think. It is not pornography and it is a lot more “real” than the information or models of women in anatomy classes.

There is the sexual aspect which men will think of first but how about this being the region from which they came from their mother?

I will be waiting to see how it goes since it is only a couple days away now.

  6.   Brian Fogarty says:

What you are doing is serious, beautiful, and brave. Your material poignantly
and powerfully heightens awareness of who and what we are and, like all
great art I believe both disturbs and comforts us and makes us feel closer to life.
    Thank you, sincerely, Brian Fogarty.
