House Festival
Nope, it is nothing to do with thumping dance music and it is nothing to do with Hugh Laurie. It is in fact the latest spin off from the Artists Open Houses you get in the Brighton Festival.
Whereas the Artists Open Houses are generally a way to have a good nose round some creative types houses and pick up the odd piece of original artwork, House is all about bringing the everyday domestic environment into art galleries.
Various bits include a cinema in someones living room, a teenage bedroom in a gallery, some self destructive furniture and a tour of the Phoenix Studios. It takes place at various venues all over Brighton and Hove and runs throughout May.
